Protecting Smiles & Nurturing Futures for Orphan Children
Children are the future of society. Since 2009, HWF has been striving to holistically improve the quality of life for children who have lost either or both parents—providing quality assistance regardless of religion, creed, or gender.
Restoring Love, Protection & Psychological Security
Children are the future of society. To have a responsible and wise society, it is important to provide them with all the love, care, and support. While this responsibility lies mainly with parents, tragedy—whether disease, accidents, or poverty—robs thousands of children of their father, mother, or both.
Suddenly, a child is left without warmth or guidance, struggling for basic necessities we take for granted: food, clothing, education, shelter, and affection. Without support, orphans face severe malnutrition, lack of primary schooling, and vulnerability to preventable illness and child labor.
UNICEF Estimate
India is home to nearly 30 million orphans—the highest figure globally, facing immense socio-economic precarity.
NCPCR Data
Over 1.36 lakh children across the country lost either or both parents during the devastating COVID-19 pandemic alone.
